[N. B. Friends are encouraged to bring anything that they have found which they think is of archaeological interest so that it can be identified and recorded]

Sunday, 22 February 2009: 'Darwin Memorial Lecture' (title to be confirmed) by Professor Lord May FRS, former President of The Royal Society and Chief Government Scientist. 2.30 p.m at Theatre Severn, Frankwell, Shrewsbury.
Thursday, 19 March 2009: 'The Grand Tour' by Gareth Williams, Curator, The Weston Park Foundation. 7.30 p.m at Shrewsbury Museum & Art Gallery (Rowley's House), Shrewsbury.
Non-members are welcome to attend lectures on payment of £4 per lecture.
Visits
Thursday, 20 November 2008: The New Wedgwood Museum.
Wednesday, 20 May 2009: Evening visit to Quatt and Claverley churches with Tim Bridges followed by pub meal.
Thursday, 17th eptember 2009: Visit to Lichfield: Erasmus darwin House, Samuel Johnson Museum and the Cathedral.
Visits are arranged by Mrs M. J. Thorpe (01743 357663) from whom details and booking forms may be obtained.
Members may bring guests subject to the availability of places.
